Egg Donation With No Waiting List

Legal here, screened and matched, with no waiting list. If donation is banned in Switzerland or Germany, or the wait in Italy is long, at Fertina donor matching usually begins as soon as your tests are ready. And your coordinator speaks Albanian.

When Donor Eggs Are Worth Considering

Donor-egg IVF is often recommended when treatment with your own eggs is unlikely to be the best path. Because the eggs come from screened donors in their early twenties, embryo quality reflects the donor’s age rather than yours.

Low ovarian reserve

If your AMH is low, your FSH is high, or previous cycles produced few eggs, donor treatment removes egg supply from the equation entirely.

Menopause or early menopause

Women in menopause or premature menopause, including after cancer treatment, can still carry a pregnancy with donor eggs. Our programme accepts patients into their mid-50s, subject to medical assessment.

Repeated cycles with your own eggs

When several own-egg cycles have not led to a pregnancy, or a genetic condition makes using your own eggs inadvisable, donor eggs offer a genuinely different starting point rather than a repeat of the same cycle.

Legal here

Banned in Switzerland and Germany. Here it is legal, regulated, and there is no waiting list.

Egg donation is prohibited by law in Switzerland and in Germany, and in Italy, although permitted since 2014, donors are scarce and the wait is long. In North Cyprus egg donation is legal and regulated under local legislation. For Albania, Kosovo and North Macedonia, our coordinator explains the local rules and how they compare with our programme.

1. Donor screening

Our donors are healthy women aged 21–25 who complete a rigorous screening programme before they are accepted:

  • Full medical evaluation
  • Blood and infection screening
  • Genetic testing
  • Psychological assessment

2. Matching

You receive a detailed, non-identifying profile of your proposed donor so you can decide with confidence:

  • Hair and eye colour, height, build
  • Origin and blood type
  • Education and profession
  • Interests and hobbies

For matching with Albanian or Balkan origin, our coordinator tells you openly what is possible at the moment you ask.

3. Anonymity

Egg donation in North Cyprus is anonymous and regulated under local legislation. The donor has no parental rights and no contact. Our team explains what this means for your family before you decide anything.

How it works

Your Donor-Egg Journey, Step by Step

Embryo under the microscope on the laboratory screen
Donor eggs are fertilised here, under the embryologist’s eye
1. Free consultation
A video or WhatsApp consultation, in Albanian. We review your history, explain the programme and answer everything, before you spend a cent or book a flight.
2. Tests and matching
Your own tests can be done at home or at our clinic. As soon as they are ready, donor matching begins: there is no waiting list, and you approve the profile before anything proceeds.
3. Preparation at home
Your cycle is synchronised and your endometrium prepared with medication at home, guided remotely by our clinical team, so your time away from work and family stays short.
4. Treatment in Cyprus
Choose the 10-day route (preparation at home, then fly out for fertilisation and transfer) or the 21-day route with the full cycle at the clinic. ICSI fertilisation and ultrasound-guided transfer are included in both.
5. Pregnancy test and beyond
A beta-hCG blood test around 12 days after transfer, then continued support from our team, with the coordinator one WhatsApp message away until delivery.

Your stay

Treatment That Feels Like a Retreat

Most donor-egg patients spend around ten days with us, and Famagusta makes them count: a quiet seaside town on the Mediterranean, warm air, harbour-side restaurants, and long beaches minutes from the clinic. Your partner stays with you, transfers and a clinic chauffeur are included, and the days between appointments are yours.

A calm body and mind matter during transfer and the wait that follows. We built the clinic here for exactly that reason.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there really no waiting list?

Correct. We keep an active register of screened donors, so matching usually begins as soon as your own tests are ready, within weeks rather than months. If your requirements are very specific, for example an unusual combination of characteristics, your coordinator gives you an honest timeframe up front.

How are donors screened?

All donors are healthy women aged 21–25 who complete a full medical evaluation, blood and infection screening, genetic testing and a psychological assessment before joining the programme. Only a minority of applicants are accepted.

How does matching work? Will there be a resemblance?

Donors are matched to you (or the intended mother) on physical characteristics, hair and eye colour, height, build, skin tone, as well as origin and blood type. You review a detailed, non-identifying profile, including education and interests, and nothing proceeds without your approval.

Is donation anonymous?

Yes. In North Cyprus egg donation is anonymous under local legislation: you receive a detailed, non-identifying profile, and the donor has no parental rights or contact. The rules in your own country may differ; our team explains openly what this means for you before you commit.

How long do I need to be in Cyprus?

Most patients choose the 10-day route: preparation happens at home with medication and remote monitoring, and you travel for fertilisation, transfer and a few days of rest. If you prefer to have the entire cycle at the clinic, the 21-day route includes a three-week apartment stay.

What does donor-egg treatment cost?

You get the price in writing: our Albanian-speaking coordinator sends you an itemised quote in euro within one working day for the package you choose (treatment only, 10-day or 21-day). Every quote includes donor screening and donor medication, with no hidden extras. We do not publish prices on the site because every plan is personal, but nothing is hidden in the quote.
